Grand Opening of SpoFit’s Aquatic Center: May 4-5
SpoFit members have been able to use the pools since May 1, but the celebration for the Grand Opening of the Aquatic Center will truly begin this Friday, May 4! Join us at SpoFit for good food, some guest speakers, demonstrations of what you can do in the water and of course, lots of swimming!
On Friday, the pool will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The guest speakers start at 4 p.m., followed shortly thereafter by the demonstrations, going from 5-7 p.m. Saturday’s pool schedule will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be opportunities throughout most of May to participate in either lap swimming or an “open swim” format, in which a swimmer can work on whatever they wish. Later in the month, more structured classes for all levels of swimmers (beginner, intermediate and advanced) will be offered, as well as Aqua Yoga and Ai Chi. You can learn more about this month’s upcoming programs and events at the Aquatic Center over the weekend!
